Silly Holidays We Love to Celebrate
Posted by: | Comments2013 is a year of celebrations here at Splash of Pink. 10 years ago my husband Marc and I ventured into the land of Lilly Pulitzer and opened our business Splash of Pink. 10 years of working together everyday and experiencing the highs and lows (but mostly highs) of owning your own business. We love what we do and enjoy coming into work each and everyday.
This month we are also celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary! We got married 10 years ago and got off the plane from our honeymoon and opened Splash of Pink 5 days later. It has been a whirlwind ever since. 2 little redheaded boys later –we can’t believe the time has gone so fast. (Unfortunately the gift of the 10 year celebration is Tin so the gift exchange will not be too exciting)
Well such a milestone got us thinking about all the crazy National Holidays that really do exist out there in the land of Google and let me tell you some of them had us really cracking up! We have decided that in honor of Lilly Pulitzer’s 2013 theme of ‘LIFE IS A PARTY – DRESS LIKE IT’, we will be celebrating some of our favorite quirky holidays that haven’t quite made the cut to make the calendar. New Year Cheer Sale at Splash of Pink

With the New Year officially rung in and the holiday season concluded, what better time for us to treat our Lilly Lovers to a sale?!?! Committed to creating the best shopping experience for all of you, please look over our helpful hints to get ready for tomorrow!
Come say hello before the sale & introduce yourself. If you are not familiar with splashofpink.com you may want to navigate around the site to see how it works. There will be a large block on the homepage as an easy entry into the sale area that will be visible on 1/3 at 8am. If you do not already have a splashofpink.com account, make sure to create one before the sale starts to save some time. Remember: our inventory is ‘real-time’ so if you add something to your cart but delay in checking out someone could scoop it up before you seal the deal!
Free shipping! We will be offering FREE GROUND shipping on all orders over $50 during the 2-day sale. If you select priority shipping (next day/2-day/3-day select) please call 866-702-3281 after your order is placed and give us your order number so we can ensure your order gets to you priority. These sale days create very high traffic and we tend to operate 48-72 hours behind in shipping. We do NOT guarantee our typical 24 hour processing and please ask that you allow 2-4 days for processing all ground orders.
Quickly narrow your search. Say you’re after some dresses for your wardrobe. The quickest way to narrow the search for all the dresses available in the size you’re looking for is to use our “Shop By” filters at the top of every category page and select the size or price you need. Once you have selected your options, the site will automatically zero in on those specific dresses and omit the unavailable ones. You can use this method of shopping to narrow the search for any of the categories you’ll be shopping.
What if I goofed on my order? We all know what it is like to mistakenly order the wrong item/ size. As long as your order has not shipped, we are happy to make adjustments to orders if the item is still in stock. Should you need to make such a change, call us and have your order number at hand! We will not be able to special order requests during the sale.
I never received an order confirmation, did my order go through? Our system automatically generates an order confirmation within minutes of an order successfully being placed. If you did not receive a confirmation, it is likely that someone else may have ordered the exact same item you were looking to get moments before you and it is no longer available. If you do not get an order confirmation, that means your order was NOT successfully placed.
Understanding the return policy. All summer 2012 items and prior are NOT eligible for returns or exchanges and will be denoted as FINAL SALE during checkout. Please double-check your items before you check out if this is of concern to you. All Fall 2012 and select Resort 2012 will only be eligible for EXCHANGE or STORE CREDIT. $7 for return shipping costs will be deducted if prepaid shipping label is used. Splashofpink.com must receive sale merchandise for exchange or store credit within 30 days of the date the item was shipped to you. Items must be unworn, unwashed, unused and undamaged with original tags for exchange. No refunds will be made on sale merchandise.

Splash of Pink Halloween Contest is Back!

The trick-or-treating commercials started, houses are decorated and candy corn is EVERYWHERE. Halloween is quickly approaching and all of us at Splash of Pink are on a little bit of a sugar rush. So much so, that yesterday during a discussion on our favorite Halloween movies, (Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic) we decided it was time we bring back one of our most entertaining contests of the year…with a TWIST.
That’s right, the costume contest is back, but bigger and better.
Between now and November 5th, we will be taking photo submissions via our Facebook page. Simply go to our Facebook page and post your Halloween entry. Our staff will review all the entries on 11/5 and post our top 5 favorites. Then the winner will be decided by YOU, our fans!
The top photo will receive a $400 gift certificate that can be used in either our Westport, CT location or at splashofpink.com. The second place winner will receive a $200 gift certificate!
But we are not done! After the top two winners have been selected, all of us at Splash of Pink will be voting on our own honorary category winners. Special gift baskets will be made for winners of the following categories:
Best Group (Three or more)
Most Creative/Crafty
Best Pet
So whether you plan to dress up via the traditional ghoulish route, or take the pop culture direction,(Honey Boo Boo anyone?), we want to see!
