This month we are also celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary! We got married 10 years ago and got off the plane from our honeymoon and opened Splash of Pink 5 days later. It has been a whirlwind ever since. 2 little redheaded boys later –we can’t believe the time has gone so fast. (Unfortunately the gift of the 10 year celebration is Tin so the gift exchange will not be too exciting)

These sale days create very high traffic and we tend to operate 48-72 hours behind in shipping. Quickly narrow your search. Say you’re after some dresses for your wardrobe. The quickest way to narrow the search for all the dresses available in the size you’re looking for is to use our “Shop By” filters at the top of every category page and select the size or price you need. Once you have selected your options, the site will automatically zero in on those specific dresses and omit the unavailable ones. You can use this method of shopping to narrow the search for any of the categories you’ll be shopping.

What if I goofed on my order? We all know what it is like to mistakenly order the wrong item/ size. As long as your order has not shipped, we are happy to make adjustments to orders if the item is still in stock. Should you need to make such a change, call us and have your order number at hand! We will not be able to special order requests during the sale.

I never received an order confirmation, did my order go through? Our system automatically generates an order confirmation within minutes of an order successfully being placed. If you did not receive a confirmation, it is likely that someone else may have ordered the exact same item you were looking to get moments before you and it is no longer available. If you do not get an order confirmation, that means your order was NOT successfully placed.

Understanding the return policy. All summer 2012 items and prior are NOT eligible for returns or exchanges and will be denoted as FINAL SALE during checkout.  Please double-check your items before you check out if this is of concern to you.  All Fall 2012 and select Resort 2012 will only be eligible for EXCHANGE or STORE CREDIT. $7 for return shipping costs will be deducted if prepaid shipping label is used. The trick-or-treating commercials started, houses are decorated and candy corn is EVERYWHERE. Halloween is quickly approaching and all of us at Splash of Pink are on a little bit of a sugar rush. So much so, that yesterday during a discussion on our favorite Halloween movies, (Hocus Pocus and Practical Magic) we decided it was time we bring back one of our most entertaining contests of the year…with a TWIST.

That’s right, the costume contest is back, but bigger and better.

Between now and November 5^th, we will be taking photo submissions via our Facebook page. Simply go to our Facebook page and post your Halloween entry. Our staff will review all the entries on 11/5 and post our top 5 favorites.  Then the winner will be decided by YOU, our fans!

The top photo will receive a $400 gift certificate that can be used in either our Westport, CT location or at splashofpink.com.  The second place winner will receive a $200 gift certificate!

I will start with my #1 favorite white dress – the Adeline Dress. This dress has all the ingredients for timeless elegance. The sweet daisy eyelet fabric and scalloped hemline give it a wonderful feminine touch and the ruffled pop collar keeps it right on trend!

Next lets take a look at our bridal options. Perfect for a destination wedding, beach wedding or even your second wedding these dresses scream wedding chic! First there is the Kiera Dress that has the same great body of the Eryn dress from last spring but has a v neck line in the front and back. Your statement necklace has the perfect place to lay! I see the Isadora dress on a beach side bride walking down the sand aisle barefoot. Her floral bouquet being the only pop of color she needs! The Reeve dress is back in this collection and perfect for the bride who doesn’t want traditional bridal but still wants all eyes on her! The Adriana Dress is also special enough for a wedding for the bride or the mother-of-the-bride. The gold metallic stitching gives you all the shimmer you need!

Now lets talk about the must have graduation dress! The teen age Lilly lover will surely love to have the Franco dress under her gown. This classic style is offered in white lucky seersucker this spring and requires only a smile to go with it!

We also love love love the Blossom dress in the wrapping stripe, the Bowen dress in the textured lace and the Joan dress in the daisy eyelet. All sure to knock them out when you are able to flip up your hat and take off the graduation gown!

There are other dresses that are completely new styles for Lilly Pulitzer that we need to mention as well. The Nicolette Dress has the most beautiful fringe on the bottom that gives the appearance of a little longer length but really it is short and sexy. This dress is also running a size big so order a size down from your normal….who doesn’t love to do that! The Bree dress is longer in length and fitted through the body. We love this ladylike dress because of the off the shoulder neckline.

No matter what the occasion you have ahead of you – if it is a white dress you need you need not look any further!

Luckily for me, my beloved Tate skirt only had to include three crucial states:

Connecticut- Because it is Splash of Pink’s homebase. And who doesn’t love a cute whale?

North Carolina: Serving as our vacation home away from home, looking at this patch brings back all of the memories we have in Duck, NC.

New York: Although our favorite Yankees didn’t make this patch’s cut, Marc & I grew up here and are proud to be New Yorkers.
